Matt Glickman, CEO

Matt Glickman is CEO and co-founder of Merced Systems.
He has over 15 years of management experience in the software industry and in building successful software companies. Prior to Merced , Glickman was CEO of consumer retailer BabyCenter, Inc., the leading eCommerce company in its category. BabyCenter is currently a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson.

Previously, Glickman led the development of Intuit's Quicken software product line. He has also served as a management consultant to Fortune 500 companies at Bain & Company. Glickman graduated an Arjay Miller Scholar from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He also holds an M.A. from the Stanford School of Education and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Amherst College.

Mark Selcow, President

Mark Selcow is President and co-founder of Merced Systems. Selcow previously was President of Consumer Health Interactive, a software services company focused on the health insurance industry. Selcow also co-founded BabyCenter and managed the company's relationships with large consumer product companies including Procter and Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, Clorox, Charles Schwab, and General Motors.

Selcow held previous positions at Amgen and at the Boston Consulting Group. He holds an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.A. from Brown University . Selcow is a National Trustee and Board Member of the March of Dimes Foundation.

David Wittenkamp, CFO

David Wittenkamp is CFO at Merced Systems. He has more than 20 years experience in both finance and general management roles. He most recently served as Chief Financial Officer for Dealix Corporation, the leading provider of internet based sales leads to the automotive industry.

During his career, Wittenkamp has held a variety of executive positions including CFO for The 3DO Company and COO for Ericsson Webcom, Inc. He has successfully co-founded two companies, Touchwave which was acquired by LM Ericsson of Sweden and PhaseOne, Inc.

Wittenkamp has applied for U.S. and international patents in the telecommunications field as a sole inventor. He served in the Danish Armed Forces, finishing as Battalion Deputy Commander, Major (R), and earned his Master of Science in Economics at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.

Matthew Katz, Vice President of Business Consulting

Matt Katz is Vice President of Business Consulting at Merced Systems. He has over 15 years experience developing and leading software, financial services, and management consulting firms. Katz most recently served as Vice President of Strategy with Wells Fargo Bank.

During his career, Katz has held a variety of executive positions including Vice President of Consulting and Client Services for Teknowledge Corporation and Director of Consulting Services for Edify Corporation. Katz also served as a management consultant for Symmetrix assisting executives resolve strategic, operational, and human resource challenges in driving corporate change.

Katz graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a SB in Management Science from the Alfred P. Sloan School of Management, with a minor in American Literature.

Wendy Lauther, Vice President of Operations Consulting

Wendy Lauther is Vice President of Operations Consulting for Merced Systems. Lauther has 15 years experience in the performance management industry, initiating her career as a member of the Call Center Consulting team at MCI during the Friends and Family days.

From there, Lauther expanded her expertise into the middle office and back office arenas where she created thought-leading management methodologies for John Hancock, Farmers Specialty Group, BCBS Affiliates and Computer Science Corporation to name a few. Prior to Merced Systems, Lauther was part of the executive team at a pioneering software and services performance management company, where she led large implementation engagements in the Insurance, Financial Services and Technical Support industries.

A well respected member of the performance management community, Wendy has been invited to speak at conferences as a panelist, in roundtable settings, and on webinars, covering such topics as First Contact Resolution, Expanding Performance Management outside of the Call Center and Achieving Performance Management Impact.

She attended University of Colorado where she received a BS in Marketing and an MBA in Finance.

Dean Thomas, Vice President of Client Services

Dean Thomas is Vice President of Client Services at Merced Systems. He has more than 15 years of experience in delivering enterprise software solutions for customers as diverse as CNN Interactive, SCOR Re, Time Inc., R.R. Donnelley and BAE Systems. During his career, Thomas has managed large scale software projects and led world-class implementation and technical support teams both domestically and internationally serving enterprise customers in the United States , South East Asia, the UK and Continental Europe.

Before joining Merced Systems, Thomas led the client service organization for Intalio, an innovative and market leading Business Process Management System company, built and ran the service organization for DoubleClick and served in a variety of senior management positions at Accenture. Thomas has a degree in engineering from Carnegie Mellon.

Erik Torres, Vice President of Engineering

Erik Torres is Vice President of Engineering at Merced Systems. Torres joins Merced Systems from Google where he was responsible for Google Calendar, Blogger, Picasa and Picasa Web Albums. Prior to Google, Torres was Vice President of Engineering at Yahoo! where he was responsible for managing a team comprised of engineering, quality assurance, documentation and user interface design charged with building Yahoo! Resumix for Fortune 1000 deployments. Torres also spent eight years at Intuit where he served as Vice President of Engineering for the Consumer Division responsible for Quicken.

Torres holds a Bachelors in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego.

Jim Wilson, Vice President of Sales

Jim Wilson is Vice President of Sales at Merced Systems. He has over 15 years of experience leading sales organizations in enterprise application software companies. Most recently, Wilson was the Director of Sales at Microsoft, where he oversaw Commercial Sales Operations for Groove Networks, a recently acquired subsidiary. Prior to the acquisition by Microsoft, he was responsible for all Commercial sales at Groove Networks.

During his career, Wilson has held key sales leadership positions at Inktomi, which was acquired by Yahoo in 2003, and at Parametric Technology Corporation. As Vice President of Sales at Parametric Technology Corporation, Wilson was responsible for developing and managing the direct sales force and distributor channel across the Asia Pacific region as well as launching the company's first Product Lifecycle Management Product.

Wilson holds a Bachelor of Science Dual Major in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis.

Jo Walker, Managing Director of Practique

Practique a Merced Systems company, was co-founded by Jo Walker in 1997 and is the leading specialist vendor of Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) software in Europe, working with clients which include The Carphone Warehouse, O2, Royal Bank of Scotland, Mazda, British Gas and BT.

Prior to founding Practique, Walker spent eight years in a number of Executive positions at high-tech companies, including Onynx where she focused on innovative ways to introduce technology enabled selling.

Steve Bowe, Technical Director of Practique

Steve Bowe co-founded Practique in 1997. Bowe is responsible for the development of Merced Incentive Compensation, Merced Systems' leading Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) application.

Prior to founding Practique, Bowe was Technical Director at Onynx, one of the first UK distributors to introduce customer relationship management (CRM). While at Onynx, Bowe was responsible for the design and deployment of CRM applications for several blue-chip companies within the FMCG and Financial Services sectors.

Matt Howard, Senior Director of Product Management

Matt Howard is the Senior Director of Product Management at Merced Systems.  Matt has more than 10 years of experience in product management and product development.  Prior to Merced Systems, Matt worked at Siebel Systems where he was responsible for the user interface frameworks underlying all Siebel 7 and Siebel Component Assembly products.  Matt also played a key role in bringing to market Siebel's Business Process Solution Library, a catalog of Siebel's best practices in CRM processes.

Prior to Siebel Systems, Matt was a product manager and engineer at Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC).  Matt pioneered the development of Gyricon Electronic Paper, a paper-like display useful for flexible computer screens and reusable paper.  Matt holds 9 patents and was a founding member of a spin-out company, Gyricon Media Inc.

Matt has a BS and MS in Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mark Gally, Director of Marketing

Mark Gally is the Director of Marketing at Merced Systems. Gally has extensive experience in marketing, developing, and delivering Business Intelligence tools and Analytic Applications having held senior positions at both Siebel Systems and MicroStrategy.

Prior to Merced, Gally provided direct sales and marketing support within the telecommunications, finance, consumer goods and pharmaceutical verticals for the Siebel Analytics product line. He has also led one of MicroStrategy's field consulting organizations responsible for pre and post sales activity. During his tenure at MicroStrategy, Gally sold and delivered Business Intelligence projects to one of the largest credit card companies, a world leading athletic brand, an international catalogue and online retailer, a major hotel and casino chain, and a well known apparel manufacturer.

Gally has a BS in Engineering from Cornell University, a Masters in Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and a M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
